words of wisdom
Back to one of my previous posts about determining the right type of bread to use - I forgot to mention that we also considered different qualities of bread.
Initially, we were planning on using Sainsbury's Basics Bread - CheeHui's suggestion of course - but several of us (the medics, duh) were understandably rather skeptical about whether Basics was really the way to go, it being so close to our exams, and so our dear Secretary bravely offered to potentially sacrifice her well-being and her degree for the sake of all the CUMSA members who would be coming out in their millions to sample Ben Koh's chicken mayo sandwiches and imported Milo.
I thought it would be important to share her report with all of you:

Cheehui's position on the committee is now under close scrutiny and will be reviewed at the next meeting.

Subject: dear friends
i write to warn you against basics bread.
i hereby declare it unsafe to eat.
it has this distinctly BLEAH soury aftertaste which is quite. quite.
unacceptable.
plus it has this cool funky bit of it in every piece which is just so
delectably charred!
i am throwing my loaf away.
